Appropriations to vote on SB 847
SB 847: AN ACT CONCERNING ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR WAGE LOSS UNDER THE WORKERS’ COMPENSATION ACT has been referred to the Appropriations Committee . They will most likely call it for a vote sometime next week.
Given the committee’s votes on two previous workers’ comp bills, it is set to be a close one. SB 153, a bill that would have provided compensation for scarring and disfigurement lost in a 20-20 tie, and SB 845, which encourages companies to find light-duty work during the existing shift, won 24-22.
